Whirlwind of a Summer
It has been an eventful past few months!
We welcomed spring by enhancing our skills and knowledge with continuing education classes. Barbara visited Kripalu, a retreat center in western Massachusetts, to study structural integration, which lengthens and repositions connective tissue in order to bring the body into proper alignment. I decided to explore a spiritual and rhythmic massage technique native to the Hawaiian Islands, known as lomi lomi.
At the start of summer, we relocated our office to the Arlington Courthouse neighborhood, just in time to celebrate our two-year anniversary. I am pleased to announce that we are all settled in to our new space and are now metro accessible. You can check out photos of the new digs on our Facebook page!
In June, we introduced ourselves to the community by participating in an open house event at Fitness First - Arlington Courthouse. Barbara & I performed complimentary seated massages for members and guests and did a drawing for a free deep tissue massage. Congrats to our lucky winner, Dana A.!
In late August, we will be volunteering our services to cyclists riding for 24 Hours of Booty, the Official 24 Hour Cycling Event of the Lance Armstrong Foundation -- LIVESTRONG. The events are held nationwide and we are fortunate to participate in this worthwhile fundraiser to support regional cancer charities.
Thank you to all of our clients who have been so patient with us as we transitioned to our new location, and for supporting us in doing what we love to do!
